My Shift Resourcing

My Shift Resourcing in CiteOps is a shift lineout tool designed to allocate resources to planned tasks. This feature helps shift supervisors and planners efficiently assign people and equipment to pre-planned activities. With its intuitive interface, the My Shift Resourcing feature enables planners and supervisors to add shift and safety notes, allocate resources to planned tasks, and review planned resource utilisation to identify any potential gaps in their resourcing plan.

Key Functionalities of the My Shift Resourcing

Resource Allocation & Management

The Resource Allocation tab in My Shift Resourcing offers four different ways to view and manage your resources, each designed to help supervisors focus on specific aspects of shift resourcing:

  • The Equipment-Driven resourcing view enables supervisors to view all available equipment, displaying current task assignments, designated operators, and overall planned shift utilisation percentages for optimised resource management.
  • The People-Driven resourcing view allows managers to monitor all personnel rostered for the shift, showing their complete task assignments, equipment responsibilities, and planned working hours utilisation for effective workforce planning.
  • The Task-Driven resourcing view provides a comprehensive overview of all planned shift activities, ensuring supervisors can view and manage assigned locations and allocated resources from a task-centric perspective.
  • The Location-Driven Resourcing view enables complete oversight of operational areas, allowing supervisors to view and manage all tasks scheduled for each location while understanding constraints and identifying over-allocated locations to effectively prioritise and allocate resources.

  • The system automatically outlines tasks in red within their respective tabs when required resources are missing, allowing quick identification of resourcing gaps.
  • Users can utilise a five-second undo window that appears after any change, providing the ability to quickly reverse unintended modifications through a clearly visible undo button.
  • The interface enables quick resource removal through an easily accessible ‘x’ button, allowing supervisors to efficiently adjust resource assignments as needed.
  • Advanced filtering options allow users to quickly locate specific occupations, equipment types, or task types, streamlining the resource allocation process.

The system provides powerful resource-borrowing capabilities through a dedicated plus icon:

  • Supervisors can efficiently borrow resources from other work areas across the site through an intuitive borrowing interface.
  • The system enables quick resolution of temporary resource shortages by providing visibility of available resources from other areas.

Notes and Safety Instructions

The Notes section provides comprehensive documentation capabilities through two distinct areas:

  • The Shift Notes functionality enables users to capture and maintain detailed operational information and updates in a centralised location.
  • The Safety Notes section provides a dedicated space for recording and tracking critical safety-related information separately from operational notes.
  • The system allows automatic copying of both note types to subsequent shifts, ensuring critical information persists across shift changes.
  • Users can maintain clear separation of operational and safety information while ensuring both remain easily accessible to all relevant personnel.
