In 2021, the management team of Volcan’s Chungar mine recognized the need to enhance operational reliability and productivity. To achieve these goals, they devised a project with the central concept of establishing a unified, comprehensive, and digital shift plan. This plan aimed to ensure that crucial tasks were executed in accordance with their objectives and that no important work was overlooked or performed inadequately, ultimately reducing the frequency of unscheduled events and boosting reliability. In 2022, the fundamental principles of this internal project were incorporated into the implementation of CiteOps across the mine’s operations.
